Erik's House Rules and Extensions

Over the past decade and a half, I've come up with my own version of AD&D, consisting of the base rules plus a bunch of customizations and extensions. This section details those extensions and modifications to the basic 1st Edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. Many of my extentions blend in things found in the 2nd Edition, some are a merging of 1st Edition and 2nd Edition rules, but most are wholesale creations to cover a gap I found in the rules.

To provide a short (and incomplete) list of my extensions:

Airborne combat with flying boats, dirgibles, airboats, balloons, and creatures.
New water combat rules for ships and big creatures.
Completely revamped construction rules for structures, with much more detail and explanation.
Several new character races and character classes.
Some new equipment, armors, and weapons.
New non-weapon proficiencies, and additions to the weapon proficiencies.
Merging of the Oriental Adventures character classes with the tradition Player's Handbook ones.
Completely revamped Psionic powers and combat.
Completely revamped weaponless and martial arts combat.
More detailed encumbrance tables, covering a huge variety of items. Also, a much greater listing of the carrying capacity of variety of containers.
New rules on all kinds of movement.
New spell research and magic item construction guidelines and rules
Rules for building a library or laboratory
More thorough explanation of Magic's role in the Multiverse.
Guidelines on creating your own campaign world.

Under Construction

This Section is Still Under Construction. Please Check Back Starting in June for Futher Updates.

A great deal of this is complete, but in a very unorganized manner. Also, I need to remove alot of TSR material that I had duplicated for my own purposes. I hope to begin putting up sections of my rules stating in June. It'll probably get completed piecemeal as I have the time.

Items above marked with the BETA tag are in beta stage. Click on the tag to see them in their current state. I'm not promising anything, and there most certainly are mistakes, but that's the nature of beta testing. I'm doing this because I've received a fairly large number of requests, and this is easier than answering all of them individually.
