The AD&D Registry of Characters Far and Wide

Welcome to the wildest, weirdest, most diverse collection of characters for the AD&D and D&D Universes! It includes all manner of humans, demi-humans, semi-humans, humanoids, and other creatures that have been played as Player Characters or Non-Player Characters in campaigns all over the world.

The purpose of this collection is to provide Dungeon Masters and others with a large base of full-fledged personalities from which to draw from when peopling their worlds. Obviously, most characters found herein will be totally unsuitable for use in a specific world or campaign, and the majority of the remainder will have to be modified to one extent or the other. It is not the purpose of this collection to provide a DM will an integrated set of people; indeed, if anyone ever attempted to use all of the characters herein in a single campaign, it would be a herculean task to avoid even simple inconsistencies. Rather, the wise DM will peruse these pages, marking for later reference character which might prove useful. Then, when a more detailed reading can be accomplished, relevant customization and tweaking can be done. While this requires a bit of work, it is (hopefully) a great deal less than required to create from scratch a like number of NPCs.
